The Vitesse has a monstrous W16 engine with a capacity of 7.9L. This gives out a whopping 1,200 horsepower at 6,400 rpm while the torque goes for 1,500 Nm. This supercar gets from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.6 seconds. The Vitesse has a top speed of 410 km/h and this makes the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse the fastest roadster of all time. Special precautions were taken when the top speed was tested on a close track. During normal handling, the Vitesse is limited electronically to 375 kilometers an hour.

The increase of 199 hp compared to the Grand Sport was achieved using a 4 bigger turbochargers and new intercoolers. The drivetrain of this Bugatti was reinforced to make sure that it can handle the intense forces when speeding up. The 7-speed gearbox with dual clutch was also modified to adapt to the new setup. The Vitesse also has modified air ducting. Bugatti even managed to improved the fuel consumption of the vehicle due to the decreased pressure on the back of the car even with increased engine output.

The chassis of the Grand Sport Vitesse was reconfigured to make sure it can take the power of the car masterfully and safely. The control of the supercar has been balanced and improved with the faster response from the dampers which were adapted from racing specs.

The Vitesse also sports a new spoiler on its roof which dramatically decreases the wind noise and the buffering inside. There is also a windbreak which can be tucked in the compartment when not needed. It also adapted a lot of the aerodynamic features of the Super Sport.

The interior of the vehicle now makes use of carbon fiber materials like the extension of the center console, cover of the belt outlet, and the door inserts, décor elements and a lot more.

The price tag is of course jaw dropping too at 1.79 million euros.

There is a wild buzz going around the autoworld that such ultimate driving machine is already in the works in the Bugatti garage and will most likely be uncovered during the auto show in Geneva this March.

According to some reports, the company has taken initial orders for the vehicle and some Bugatti lovers in the US have expressed their intentions to have the Veyron Grand Super Sport in their collections.

Nothing much is really known about the new creation of Bugatti. Everyone is not even sure if it will be called the Grand Super Sport. During a recent interview with Bugatti topman Wolfgang Durheimer, he said that the W-16 engine with 1,200 horsepower of the Veyron Super Sport may not be compatible to the body architecture of the Grand Sport but the company is not dismissing that a more powerful open-top Bugatti supercar will be produced.

Spy shots going around the internet shows the car in development with a body of a Super Sport but the Veyron has additional cooling ducts on the roof.

If ever the Grand SuperSport will come to life soon, we can expect performance figures to go from a minimum 1,001 hp just like the regular Bugatti Veyron to around 1,200 hp of the Super Sport. Dimensions might come close if not the same. And the tag price might go beyond $1.7 million, making it the most expensive ride in the planet.

Designers and engineers of the exotic car maker return to the drawing board to improve the design of the Bugatti Galibier.

A lot of people are disappointed with the delay, a common scenario as Bugatti also took years before finally releasing the Veyron. The redesign though is necessary to make the ride more stylish and make it more comfortable.  There are also reports that it might get an upgraded engine which has an ouput of around 986 horsepower.

Earlier reports said that the Galibier is already on the second phase of design and it will significantly look look different from the concept that we have seen before.

The changes that are being made to the design was triggered after conducting consults with customers . Most of the customers who participated in the clinic were Veyron owners who gave their inputs for the improvement of the Bugatti Galibier.

The Galibier draws inspiration from the Veyron but also shows hints of the Atlantic coupe with a long spine running along the roof down to its rear deck.

Car lovers might be wondering though what Bugatti has in mind especially when the production run of  the Veyron standard is completed and only versions like the Super Sport and Grand Sport are still on production.

The 2013 Galibier is set to roll out before the end of 2012 and it has been crafted to be the leader in the luxury car market. It boasts of a 1-cylinder powerplant that can produce 789 horsepower to aroudn 986 hp. The Galibier is also considered as more practical compared to the Bugatti Veyron so Durheimer sees the luxury car brand to roll out 1,000 to about 1,500 units.

The tag price for this super ride has not been set yet but the president of Bugatti hints that to be behind the wheels of a Bugatti Galibier, you need to be ready to take out around $1,440, 00 from your bank account.

Durheimer sees the Galibier to the be the top benchmark of all the other four door sedans in the market and he promises that Bugtatti will continue to work on technologies and other engineering possibilities. He hints that there could be a hybrid Galibier which can go around 40 kilometers on its electric motor alone.

The Galibier was unveiled as the 16C Galibier concept car during this year’s Geneva Motor Show. It was first shown to a small group of Bugatti owners last September but this concept has a 5-door configuration just like the Rapide of Aston Martin and Porsche Panamera.

However, it is assumed that the next-generation Veyron will veer away from its predecessor and will lean more on the look and feel of Walter de Silva’s original art for the Bugatti model that goes back to the year 1999. Unfortunately, the original artwork was never publicized as another Veyron artwork concept that was made by Hartmut Warkuss made its way to the Tokyo Motor Show in 1999, leaving the original one unseen. Today, another design rendered by John Mark Vicente, a Canadian, has been aptly dubbed as the Bugatti Renaissance. This one is said to be posed to be Veyron’s successor.

The next-generation Veyron would still be carrying the same 8.0-liter W16 engine that is packed with four turbo charges. This powerful is attached to a 7-speed gearbox with a dual-clutch functionality. As for its performance, the speculations hover to the rates similar to that of the Super Sport version with 1,500 Nm of torque and 1,200 bhp. The next-generation Veyron is assumed to clock in at 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, just a little higher than the figures clocked in by Super Sport.

As for the price tag of the next-generation Veyron, specialist are assuming somewhere over the £1 million range. This new model will roll out in 2013 and will be available to the market in 2014.

If that’s not enough to blind you, the interior will surely finish the job.  The Veyron’s cabin looks like it belongs in the festival in Rio de Jainero:  there’s the golden leather and the gold accent on several interior parts made of carbon fiber.  Cool, huh?

And of course, this mean looking Bugatti calls for a mean machine under its hood:  the Bugatti Veyron Linea Vincero d’Oro comes with a turbocharged 16-cylinder 8.0 liter engine.  It has an astounding 1,109 horsepower and 967 pound-feet of torque.  The mean engine is fitted with a revamped cold air induction system and exhaust to maximize the engine’s performance.  Well, how’s that for bling, right?  Maybe they will add Swarovksi crystals in their next Bugatti.

A century after Ettore Bugatti established the company, we are able to see another milestone of the carmaker in the form of the 2009 Galibier 16C.

According to Bugatti insiders, the car manufacturer is considering three proposed designs for the next generation Bugatti. There is a high probability that the Galibier 16C will go into production after the Veyron ends its run by 2012.

The body of the Galibier 16C is made from a blend of carbob-fiber and aluminum which establishes its places as the lightest car in its class. The chassis is further strengthened by reinforced plastic and marked by LED lights on its ends.

The Galibier 16C borrows its design line sfrom the Atlantique Type 57. When you look at the images, notice the hatchback like lines and spine. The interiors are also treated with pure luxury. The central dash is made from fine wood and two dial displays which give you an idea of the speed and the power. There is also a Swiss clock from Parmigiani.

Bugatti did not reveal the technical aspects of the Galibier 16C but experts are assuming it will sport the 16 cylinder 8.0L engine used with the Veyron that has an output of around 800 horsepower. Instead of the turbo the Galibier 16C might come with a supercharger. Another spec will be an 8 speed auto transmission instead of a dual clutch system featured in the Veyron.

By spring 2010, we will know if the Galibier 16C will get the thumbs up for production.

September is a very important date for the car maker since it is the month when its father Etoore Bugatti established the company in 1909. It also happens to be the month for the Frankfurt Motor Show.

How the buzz started about a Buggatti supercar is a long story. A photo was sent to friend of a member of the Ferrarichat forum and hints of a new Bugatti model. The picture is clearly not a Veyron so it could be a super sedan or something else we do not expect.

According to insiders, it will be the Bordeaux which will be a super car that can carry four passengers. Under its hood will be the 8.0L quad turbo W 16 engine. The name sounds fast and the figures never lie since it can output 1001hp making it the fastest 4-seater car in the world.

Bugatti will also be releasing this year the Bleu Centenaire special edition which was revealed during the auto show in Geneva. Bugatti executives share that the company has a lot of plans in the future which includes a cheaper derivative of the Veyron and other extreme projects.

To date, the Veyron is on the top of the list in terms of the technical achievements that come with it. The Veyron though did not attempt to be the fastest car in the world currently held by the SSC Ultimate Aero TT.

The car manufacturer is now busy filling up the 250 orders for the Veyron. There are still 50 units up for the taking. The Grand Sport variant also has received several orders out of the 150 units planned production volume.

The partnership between both brands worked great – and in my honest opinion it’s one of the best looking Bugs ever. The H-logo on the rims… MY GOD they’re HOT!
