While Bonhams failed to give information on the Bugatti’s new owner, Bonhams stated that the selling price of the 1937 Bugatti is 3,417,500 Euros. There are only 17 copies of the Type 57S Atalante Coupe at present. The one sold at the Paris auction was initially owned by the President of the British Racing Drivers Club, Earl Howe. The model was passed from one owner to another until in 1955 it was bought by Dr Harold Carr of England. It was reported that the vintage car was kept in his garage in the 1960s and did not run for a very long time. In 2007, after Carr’s death, the Bugatti was rediscovered.
