Bugatti recently released a video showcasing the prowess and the beauty of the Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse that debuted back in Geneva last March. This Veyron is a combo of the Super Sport and the Grand Sport as it gets the performance of the former and the looks of the latter.
While the Grand Sport gives out a monstrous 987 horses and a torque of 922 lb-ft, the Vitesse humbles it with an output of 1184 horses and a torque of 1106 lb-ft. In order to draw out the additional power, the engineers at Bugatti installed four more enlarged turbos and intercooler into the sixteen-cylinder engine of the Vitesse. The chassis was also tweaked to make sure it can handle the additional output.
With all these modifications, the Grand Sport Vitesse can blast from 0 to 62 mph in a matter of 2.6 seconds and can achieve a top speed of 254.76 miles per hour or that’s a jaw dropping 410 kilometers an hour.
Here’s that promo video to show all its amazing characteristics:
During the auto show in Paris recently, the McLaren P1 might have stolent the spotlight from the Bugatti Veyron. To be fair to McLaren, the Bugatti booth was pretty empty except for that Grand Sport Vitesse donning a white and blue livery. But still, it is a Veyron. A 1.8 million euros worth of engineering artistry! Now, who does not want to lay his eyes on that.
